About Sibila: how our tarot and astrology work
Sibila is a quiet place to pull cards and look at the sky as a starting point for thinking about your life. This page explains plainly how each part works and where the limits are.
What Sibila is
Sibila brings together tarot, Lenormand cards, horoscopes, birth charts and Human Design in one place. It's meant as a pause for reflection: you ask a question, look at the symbols and decide what feels true for you.
We don't claim to predict the future. Readings are for reflection and entertainment.
How a reading works
The tarot deck has all 78 cards. It's shuffled on our server with a cryptographically secure random number generator, the same kind used in digital security, so no one (including us) picks which cards come up.
About one in four cards appears reversed, which shifts the tone of its meaning. You can also use the 36-card Lenormand deck, which has no reversals.
How the texts are written
Every card has a classic interpretation written in-house in each language: upright, reversed, love, career and a piece of advice. This classic reading is always available and doesn't use AI.
If you'd like, you can ask for an AI-personalized reading. It's written by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) based on the cards drawn, their positions and your question, and only with your consent. That text is always labeled as AI-generated. If the AI fails, your credits are refunded.
How the astrology is calculated
Positions of the Sun, Moon and planets are calculated from astronomical ephemerides using the open-source astronomy-engine library. We use the tropical zodiac and whole-sign houses. Human Design charts are calculated from your birth data with the same ephemerides.
The daily horoscope starts from the Moon's actual position that day relative to each sign. Compatibility scores follow the classic sun-sign rule, based on element and distance around the zodiac, and are labeled that way.
Limits and responsible use
Readings are for reflection and entertainment, not prediction. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. Sibila is for people 18 and older.

Privacy
Your readings and birth data are visible only to your account. You can delete your account at any time. AI memory, which helps carry context between readings, is off unless you turn it on, and you can switch it off whenever you like. We don't sell your data.

Frequently asked questions
Is online tarot accurate?
Sibila's online tarot is fair in how cards are drawn, but it doesn't predict the future. Cards are shuffled on the server with a cryptographically secure random generator, so no one chooses the result. The value of a reading is in the reflection it prompts, not in fortune-telling.
Is the tarot reading written by AI?
Not by default: the classic reading is written in-house and uses no AI. There is an optional personalized reading written by Anthropic's Claude, generated only with your consent and always labeled as AI.
How is the daily horoscope calculated?
The daily horoscope is based on the Moon's real position that day relative to each sign. Positions come from astronomical ephemerides in the open-source astronomy-engine library, using the tropical zodiac.
How does zodiac sign compatibility work?
Compatibility uses the classic sun-sign rule, comparing each sign's element and their distance on the zodiac. It's a traditional reference, labeled as such, and doesn't claim to measure a real relationship.
Is my birth data kept private?
Yes, your readings and birth data stay private to your account. You can delete your account, turn off AI memory at any time, and no data is sold.
